The World’s First Apartment Decorated by Hermès at The Marq on Paterson Hill

The Marq on Paterson Hill is home to the first apartment in the world entirely decorated by Hermès in a unique collaboration with Hermès Maison.

This exceptional project combines an innovative approach to architectural design by SC Global with a unique style of interiors of timeless elegance and craftsmanship created by the Parisian house. Each design detail has been crafted according to Hermès vision of ‘art de vivre’.

Hélène Dubrule, General Manager of Hermès Maison, said, “I am delighted that our House contributes to the design ambition of SC Global and Mr. Simon Cheong for their exceptional project The Marq. By realising for the first time, a complete project of home decoration and furnishings, we also share with SC Global a unique experience and express our high-quality values of excellence and craftsmanship in the home universe.”

The apartment incorporates a collection of furniture, fabrics, rugs, carpets, wallpaper, and made-to-measure leather upholstered items.

The personality of this living space is enhanced by four of the six Homage to the Carré works by the painter Josef Albers, printed on silk in limited edition by Hermès. French artist Jean-Luc Favero created an original chalk horse drawing on wooden panels that seamlessly connect to the tinted brushed oak feature wall. Descending from the 3.5m ceiling of the grand dining salon sits an impressive ceiling light specifically made for the apartment by the craftsmen of Cristalleries de Saint-Louis, composed of 45 individual lights in transparent crystal with a singular blue crystal pendant. The master suite evokes comfort and refinement, a sanctuary of artisan crafts: a bespoke hand stitched headboard in clemence calf leather, side panels created in the ancient craft of straw marquetry, Saint Louis 24 light candelabra and sketches by the artist Jean-Luc Favero.

For this bespoke interior design project, the French house appointed Yves Taralon, Creative Director of La Table Hermès and French renowned decorator, to lead the artistic direction of this project in a creative exchange with Michelle Cheong, Creative Director of the SC Global design team.

This rare collaboration is in line with the brand’s mission to offer unprecedented luxury living standards to our discerning buyers from all around the world. The bold and innovative architecture and design of The Marq, coupled with this exceptional interior decoration project has created an iconic apartment that epitomises our uncompromising passion for the finest quality materials and craftsmanship.
