The Lincoln Modern
The first loft-in-the-sky development in Singapore, The Lincoln Modern’s distinctive architecture with its spectacular glass facade, vertical staircase concealed behind a perforated steel wall, and shear walls of striking orange, spawned a new spatial concept in modern living in Singapore.
Inspired by Le Corbursier’s seminal Unité d’habitation, each of the 56 modular L-shaped apartments within the 30-storey development boast double-volume 6-metre high ceilings and a mezzanine loft, each interlocking like a Rubix cube with mathematical precision.
For its bold interpretation of modernist architecture, The Lincoln Modern was the first development in Asia to receive the prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) International Award in 2005. A year later, it was conferred an honourable mention at the SIA Architectural Design Awards 2006.
